Friday night kicks off Book Fest with some young actors from Debut Theater's production of The Odyssey and a 5-minute version that covers 60+ characters and the whole span of the show which you will not want to miss, either here or when it hits The Lincoln Center in May.

From there we meet Fort Collins' own Poet Laureate, Melissa Mitchell, who has been building poetry community in Fort Collins since long before she held the title and this Friday she's opening FoCo Book Fest with an open-mic poetry reading at the Visit Fort Collins Welcome Center. You'll hear also from the previous Poet Laureate, Ally Eden, as she shares her work from the Visit Fort Collins stage.
